Job well done Mario, congratulations on your mission. You Dad was a Marine right? The paper wrote that he was Army. I am glad that his first name was use on naming the school, PFC Mario G. Ybarra Elementary School. We in the military use our rank as the first name. The community will know that he was a veteran because of his rank. Semper Fi.

Mario, Just wanna let you know, that I really understand the way you feel. You see, I was a little boy myself when I lost my dad. I wish I could remember when he used to carry me & the times he spent with me. Good luck with your plans & may the State & the district honor your wish. Bernie Mata..

Hi Cousin, just wanted to send you props for a great power point presentation. Loved the pic of you in front of your dad's coffin that was a tear-jerker for me. Do you recall the time when we were kids playing on the living room floor and your dad's image appeared to us? He was wearing his military suit just standing there looking at us? We got freaked out, but yet elated that he paid us a visit. That is the closest I got to seeing my uncle. He's a verse to encourage you. Psalms 37: 4
I want to congratulate you on your big accomplishment in getting the school named after your father (my uncle) Mario Ybarra. Although I never met your father I would often hear stories of him told to me by my father. I was in tears watching this video and I wish my father would have been able to see this. A few years back there was a newspaper article in which they interviewed grandma on Mario's death. My father hung that article framed in his room. Love, your cousin Angie Ybarra Bustos.

No words can ever express the gratitude that I have for all the support that I received throughout this endeavor. I know my uncle (your father) would have been proud to have seen this in person, but I can almost bet that he and my father got a sneek preview of it from heaven. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your heartfelt comment. Hope everyone is in good health and spirit. God Bless You!__Mario, Jr.

Mario, I was so touched by your video. When I saw you on TV last night, I said to myself, I know this guy, I went to prom with him in 1981. I hope the district listens to you and honors your dad by naming the new school after him.. he was a true hero. Stay in touch...God Bless you and your family....

Thank you very much for your most sincere remarks. It is so nice to be reunited in this manner. Through this exposure I have had the pleasure of knowing how much this cause has touched people's heart. I hope you will support this endeavour by telling your family, friends to log on Youtube and post a comment. Or you can contact any of the School Board members and state your thought on the matter. Thanks again...hope one day our paths will cross again. Mario Jr.
