On September 26, 1997 Assisi was struck by an earthquake which caused four fatalities. The Basilica of San Francesco d'Assisi was badly damaged (part of the vault collapsed, carrying with it a fresco by Cimabue), and was closed for two years for restoration.

This eartquake was the price by the blasfemy that did there the Pope with jews, muslins, paganists and masonics....

@photolitherland Dear Photolitherland, the brain has nothing to do with my experience, I got tangible anwers, maybe you wont believe me, but I am a witness of this and believe me I am telling you the truth. So far I got miracles, like a home, food, purchase of properties, I also got to see the seven years of the "skinny cows" but I was never abandoned, neither I nor my four girls. I wont try to convince you. .. and I will pray that you get answers too. You are special, you will see too. :)

@photolitherland ... I cannot explain to you something intangible in a few lines. I believe because I have personally witness many miracles that happend to me after prayer. You are right people are educated though books and costumes. But the truth cannot be deny. If you ask and you received .is not coincidence. I wont even try to talk about religion, is beyond religion. I have no words to express, I am sorry. This is something one must find on its own. Give it the benefit of doubt. please... ;)

@photolitherland yes they did ...The $37 million restoration was hailed as "the miracle of Assisi" not only for its quick completion--such projects normally drag on for many years in Italy--but also for its combination of high-tech engineering, use of special computer software for piecing together the frescoes and cooperation by more than 600 construction workers, art restorers and volunteers.

@photolitherland I understand what you are saying and I hear you. People read the Bible from a to z and backwards and used to it their advantage.. So this is why you feel like that. 20 years is a long time. You need to pray to The Holy Spirit for understanding before you read the Bible. You might think me naive.. I wont judge you. You are looking for truth and you shall find it. Dont give up, I will pray for you. You are unique and God loves you. Meditate and speak to him.. you ll be surprise ;)

@photolitherland ... Do you think that the bad, things that happened come from God or Human error. If you read history St. Francis repair with his own hands two other small churches that were destroy back then when he was alive. God helps you but you have to help yourself too. The lost of lives is terrible, but nobody dies on its eve. Everthing is written down, call it destine or Gods Will. If you do not believe put yourself to the test and do homework. research with your own heart.

@Rei14587 os caras là dentro morreram tmb....eles eram o padre da Igreja, juntos com alguns funcionarios do organo de proteçao das artes italianas. Estavam dentro para indagar os danos dos afrescos. Essa foi o segundo terremoto do dia.Acredito que estavam chorando pela construçao e pelas pessoas tmb...

when was happening, me and my mother were crying for this disaster, because we have had an amazing holiday there the before year.
