Brooklyn was born on January 23, 2002 at Tealwood Labrador Kennels under the loving and watchful eye of Jenny Mitchell. He was a "special breeding", conceived with 25 year-old frozen semen from World Champion's Franklin Golden Mandigo (aka "Mandigo). Brooklyn is the biological grandson of Shamrock Acres Light Brigade (aka "Briggs") who, until outdone by his grandson (Mandigo's son and Brooklyn's half brother) held the title of most Labrador retriever Best in Shows of all times. Briggs was known fro his "smile", which he passed along to his proginy. Clearly, that "smile" is alive and well in Brooklyn- a tribute to Labrador Retreivers everywhere, and a very special boy in his own right,
