My correction to my post. 2 diode and not capacitor.someone told me that if the radio is made from japan, it is guaranteed not expandable. While other IC-207 can reach 136 to 174 easily after modification.Is there a secret mod on this ic 207 that made from japan?

my ic 207 is not expandable it only works on 144.00 to 146.00 and it was made in japan. i did follow the instruction for modifying it but still not working. the 2 little capacitor and w14 resistor is already missing when i open the radio.Is there any way i can do to make the frequency expand from 137.00 to 174.00?
