Red exterior with White stinger, Red leather interior, Black convertible top. 505hp all-aluminum LS7 engine, T56 6 speed manual transmission, 3.73 posi rear-end. Features include air conditioning, power steering, 4 wheel disc brakes, power antenna, side exhaust, tilt, AM/FM radio. Originally assembled on April 5, 1965, this 1965 Corvette LS7 Convertible really is the best of both worlds, combining classic midyear styling with modern Z06 power and comfort! Built on a Jamison's Custom Corvette tube chassis, this car is so comfortable to drive and handles so well that you will forget it's a '65! This car is just about as fresh as it gets too, showing just 57 miles since its nut and bolt restoration and build. The body on this car has been dressed as a '67, showing a '67 stinger hood, '67 fenders, and a '67 back-up light in the rear. Trim tag shows paint code FF and interior trim code 450B. This car's paint is in very good to excellent condition, showing a gorgeous, deep, show-quality shine. Cloth convertible top is in very good to excellent condition, with a clear window and no rips, tears, or other flaws. Convertible top latches are new, and the stainless steel windshield trim has been polished to a chrome-like finish. Chrome bumpers look to be recent, and are in very good to excellent condition with no patina to speak of. Exterior door handles look recent with no pitting, dulling, or scratches, and the taillights look recent as well with no cracking. Weatherstripping looks to be new, and is super soft and in very good to excellent condition with no dry spots or rotting. This 1965 Corvette LS7 Convertible wears a set of chrome C5 Z06 style wheels, looking to be brand new and in excellent condition with no curb rash or pitting. Tires are premium Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's, looking to be nearly new with an average of 8/32nds tread depth remaining. These tires are sized 245/45/17 on all four corners. The interior of this car shows recent cutpile carpet, leather seat covers, door panels, sill plates, visors, seatbelts, dash knobs, door handles, and dash pads, all in very good to excellent condition. Center console has been slightly modified to accommodate the shifter for the T56 6 speed, and is in very nice shape. A smaller diameter steering wheel with polished spokes and a wood rim has been added, and is in very good condition. Never available from the factory on a midyear, this car also features an aftermarket tilt steering column for easier entry and exit. White faces have been added to the gauges, which are in very good to excellent condition with clear lenses and no fading. Clock is working at this time with a quartz movement. Correct style AM/FM radio is in place and has been upgraded to 150 watts, and the glovebox lid is in very good condition as well. Modern speakers have been added in custom kick panel enclosures. Under the hood of this car sits a brand new 427ci crate LS7 engine that would normally be found in a C6 Z06. This engine features a dry-sump oil system, and billet aluminum pulleys. A mirror has been mounted in the center of the firewall to simulate the ignition shielding that would normally be found on a stock midyear engine, and a Dewitts aluminum radiator and electric fans ensure that this LS7 stays nice and cool. The Jamison tube chassis is powdercoated in Red, and features C4 suspension with chrome adjustable Carrera coil-over shocks and C4 brakes, which are fed by a Wilwood master cylinder. A 25 gallon fuel cell has been installed as well, which should provide for excellent cruising range. Other notable new items include headlight motors, wiper motor, polished 70 amp alternator, stainless steel braided pressure hoses, and and all wiring harnesses. A premium Optima Red Top battery provides the starting power for this beast, and a full OBDII diagnostics system is present, complete with a check engine light. This car has been fully serviced, and all instrument gauges, lights, turn signals, brakes, engine, transmission and rear-end are all in good operating condition. Air conditioning blows nice and cold. Yeah, the owner likes to think of it as a '67 since the body has been changed to look like a '67. However, the VIN corresponds to a 1965, and the car is titled as a 1965. Generally the '67's are considered to be more desirable and more valuable than a '65.
