The neck rig used in Sintel. The deformations in this example are not final by any means. The video demonstrates the control scheme.

  • OMG!!!!!

  • @usergroupX uh im a blender pro and i only have an intel core i5 2gen with what your asking there is near super computer level as in u would have to be in the market of around 10k comstomize an apple and yeah u will be able to do that

  • Question for you Blender Professionals: What are the specs on the computers you are using. I m going to build my own computer, and I want THE FASTEST MOST ROBUST MOST DIESEL COMPUTER EVER. one on which I could duplicate the Sintel girl 100 times with subsurfs=6 and animate all of them and render it all super fast....

  • Thanks to all involved in the Durian Project, especially on SINTEL!

    Are the rigs available?

  • @Quikie93 you're right, with both things.

i just wanted to say, that those video trainings exist and he doesn't have to look for tutorials and hope to learn, if he just invests some money.

for me, video trainings are the better solution. but there are still great tutorials on the web, which can be very inspiring =)

  • @ZXOH but you had responsed to bjwnavigator who was requestion some stuff to teach us necks rigs, face rigs aso (tutorials) thats why i was speaking of tutorials.

speaking of which, isnt this channel the official blender channel? i might be very wrong tho^^

  • @Quikie93 the people making these video-trainings are professionals who structure the trainings in a way you get to learn everything step by step and in the right order. tutorials are good for learning, but not the same. and why should they do it for free? it takes much work. and anyway, people who can afford a computer that can handle 3D animation can also afford the money for a well organised video training which will teach you just everything in right order. oh and, i never spoke of tutorials

  • @ZXOH may i ask, just how does it cost money, except for buying a microphone, to make a tutorial out of BLENDER?

  • @bjwnavigator i think they won't... it would cost quite some money and they have some helping sites. there are good books or video trainings you can buy. i mean, if I can buy them in germnay, there will he many books in english too. in germany a complete blender video training with everything (modeling, animating etc) costs 39,90 euros. not too expensive if you get the programm free and all the knowlage for 3D =)

  • @EpicCookie7 You can always just get the rigged Sintel model and check out how it's done :)
