A slide-show of Carcoar in the New South Wales Central Tablelands. A beautiful historic village, Carcoar is a National Trust treasure quietly nestled in a cleft among gently rolling hills on the Belabula River.
Produced by Eric Foote with photography by Todd Hahn and musical excerpts from various musicians, including Ingrid Michaelson's wonderfully evocative song 'Maybe'.

  • Thanks Ellen, we were in the same boat when we traveled and stayed in Carcoar a few years ago, now we own a place there and love it. It has a great sense of community and a really relaxed lifestyle. The district is quite special and has all you could want. Hope to see you and your family settle in the neighborhood soon!

    Best, Eric

  • Thanks for your kind remarks regarding our video. We hope you enjoy your first visit to Carcoar. Make sure that you check out our shops and enjoy dinner at the Royal Hotel which is ranked one of the best in NSW in the SMH good pub guide.

If you haven't done so already, check out the village website and The Carcoar Cup website. Another attraction is Carcoar Pottery which operates from the Court House and features the work of talented local potter Louise Purcell.

    Happy travels, Todd

  • Your video prompted me to pack up the family and take a trip over the mountains since we haven't been to Carcoar before. It really is lovely. Now we are thinking of leaving the 'big smoke' and making a tree change. Thank you for your beautiful photos and inviting us to 'explore' your town. Like the song says on the video we will certainly 'come back.'

  • I haven't been to Carcoar but it's certainly on my 'visit' list after viewing this slideshow. Great photos, great music. well put together and the musical chorus at the end stays in my head and makes me want to come back again and again to this video -and hopefully Carcoar itself.
