Murtha lied, pure and simple. Murtha did NOT speak with the Marine Commandant. He had no official briefing. He took a Time Magazine article fed by a Jihadi stringer amd ran with it for his own political aggrandizement.

hmm! He was mulling over taking a bribe. If the sting had lasted longer, he would have taken the bribe like his buddies that he ratted on. That's why he was cleared. Anyway, I thought the whole scandal reeked because the Feds tried to entrap bad eggs.

Did you see the entire video tape? Murtha didn't take a bribe, but left the door wide open for future kickbacks. He just said, "not right now, but maybe later we can do business."
