Orginal24 says, "...this way of playing Bach is just completely out of style." I do not believe that one should strive to play according to whatever is the prevailing fad, like a blind sheep. Beautiful playing does not go out of style! This was a very nice performance, both technically and musically!

Come on, it's not horrible, he just doesn't put emotion into it. He's playing from the sheet music, not his heart. Shame tho.

we are speaking about Wieniawski competition...not Lublin one, the real Wieniawski competition in Poznan...It means 4 rounds, Mozart, Bach and so many other pieces.He was 14 and arrived almost in finale,won a special prize etc.I hope you understand that before criticize...of course you may not like but EASY! i don't know so many of children playing with such a maturity.I think he will have a very very good carrier and i wish him all the best.

I also agree with Weikis, this is a horrible interpretation of Bach. Without any sence for style, without feeling the harmonies... . In each Bach solosonata the third movement is supposed to be melodic, not the first. In all first movements the harmonies are important, there is actually no melody. He playes the Adagio like a melody, singing and lyrical, which is just wrong! Of course he is talented, but maybe wrong teacher...?
