I agree that the meaning of the word atheist is changing to something more like meaning skepticism, but I am not sure that is good. Anyway, the name to me is kind of irrelevant. Maybe in the future the word atheist will mean more than just the lack of believe in gods, but for now I prefer the universal meaning because is more clear
About religion tactics, they are horrible. I will not support any institution like that. Is like justifying bad things just because they work. We most go over that

well i wrote a long comment as an atheist but then i was like for that 2-3 years what left for you (after your voice i think you around 60-70) i changed my mind and i will let you die thinking yourself an atheist but let me say this if you would be an atheist in your whole life you would not watch these videos you just would not care

@MultiPaulinator Organization is key! We are already larger than the Jewish demographic.
It's time we start asserting ourselves more in the political process.
If we were able to organize our principles, and bypass the tendency to delusion and dogma, the result might alleviate much of the effects those puny gods seem to wield in society.

LMFAO. I really wish I could give more Angles their wings. (Too bad I'm an atheist.)
I'm confused by the Tombaugh piece - the window looked as if there was a "cross" at the focal point where I assume Pluto was located. Were they giving him respect on a par with "sainthood"?

@Candyliz2003 I think you misunderstood the window. The focal point is in fact the Sun.
The orbital planets depicted are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and then on the lower left above the heads of the seated children is the former planet known as Pluto.

I'm inclined to agree with you. I bet we'll have kick ass hymns.

@AAL We already have the hymns. We just need the opportunity to insert them into the consciousness of the people.
Singing Pink Floyd's "On the Turning Away" every Sunday morning in church would reinforce the message to fight against poverty and oppression.;)

That stained glass window is beautiful. It made me tear up a little bit. Awesome Clyde Tombaugh.

@fegolem I understand what you say.
