Thanks for the videos they've been very helpful information on the state parks. We've just signed up for membership with the friends of Ga and can't wait to get our packet. We're looking at Fort McAllister, Skidaway, and Crooked River for our first trip, but we can't make up our minds which one we want to go to. We have small children, and was wondering if you could give some insight to which of these parks your kids liked best?

has there been mismanagment of money? or is it just the sign of the times...some should stay preserved...even if closed

I'm sorry to here of the financial cuts at the Georgia Parks. They are a wonderful asset. Living in New Jersey I've made several trips to Georgia and took advantage of the State Park System. My next trip will be to Jefferson Davis Memorial Historic Site. I just saw a great youtube on it, and look forward to taking a vacation to Irwinville, GA.
