OMG THIS IS AMAZING! I also do computer projects like this myself for school projects. But this Shoeshine model is amazing! Good work!

This extremely accurate 3D version of Leo (Shoeshine) was not simply "whipped up" on some 3D modeling program; the dog was scanned using RealScan 3D's NexGen 3D mobile scanning device, which basically picks up original imformation off the real dog to form the 3D model. The scanning took the team a matter of minutes, whereas the whole model was completed in only 3 days. No one had successfully achieved a method for scanning live animals before this film.

@DoggieDoubles i wish there was a like simple drag and drop, simple cgi animation software, but it still looks good like Euphoria animation or even Blender, just easier, that's yet to come though, like the enviorments are already there, and the character models, but you can customize there look. That'd be a definite buy, no scripting, no long, hard modeling, just that, i think there is something like that, it's just not good.

@marshan3q Yeah, I think I know what you mean. For this movie, Framestore did all the full body animation while Cinesite did all the muzzle replacement work. Framestore used a combination of NewTek's LightWave and Maya for all of its modeling work. Don't get me wrong, these are excellent programs to use but I don't think they have just what you're talking about. I think the best way to go would be to get a 3D scanner and scan everything you need for the film; no modeling work would be required!
