A set of patches i programmed while having AN1x back in 2006. Very nice synth with a lot of options and quite smooth sound. Notice: these custom patches are not for sale.

  • cool vid. !!! i got an an1x and i use it in all tracks. is there an vst editor for the an1x ???

  • @Cutrexxx: AFAIK there is just stand alone editor for it. In fact that's how i programmed all those patches. Because UI on the unit itself is a no go...

  • @xamielxamiel Well, the EX series could be considered somewhat of a successor; also the AN200 and the AN-150 PLG board. But Yamaha appears to have abandoned the cool synthesisers for the bread-and-butter S&S workstations.

  • Got only 1 word for this.... AWESOME :D

  • With the jp8080 sounds and the an1x, I have the best sound possible without spending 3000 on an oberheim or moog- and these have modern touches, those machines don't have- with a loop station- playing sound of the jp8080 and an1x, it's limit less what you can do - best, rich sound VA's out there- you can do classic OBXA sounds, Moogs, to New Wave to Trance. I got this advice from a sound engineer who has used everything, I mean every synth and for under 1500- this get you the best!

  • An1x is awsome, but yes, the interface on the JP8000 is like a modern moog, you don't have to be a freakin' sound engineer to tweak your sound to jam - here's the best set-up- buy a jp8080 and- you audio out your an1x to the Jp8080 and can much easier tweak your filter and effects-made sound I never knew i could and easier, AND you have the Jp8000 sound, and more with the Jp8080 and super saw- so you have the best of both boards-the JP does have killer sounds-getting this set up is synth heaven

  • Fantastic killer sound. I can´t figure out why Yamaha doesn´t make a successor of it.

  • Very, very impressive! I used to have a AN1x. I bought it around the same time as I bought my JP-8000. I always felt the AN1x sounded better than the JP-8000... but in the end, the interface was the deciding factor. I sold the AN1x and kept the JP-8000. It was just too painful to work with. These patches remind me of just how much I liked the sound of the AN1x... and for the first time in a long time I actually miss it.

  • 2:56 i want that patch :)

  • Pleae make these sounds available for download!!! I love them.
