Let's Play DC Universe Online - Part 176 - Fear The Reaper

Part 176 of my 'Let's Play' gameplay and commentary in the new MMO, DC Universe Online, by Sony Online Entertainment.

In this episode we continue our efforts against the Enraged Magistrates as we continue to attempt to drag them into the nearby Purification Spheres. Once we finally finish the task, our presence is requested by another group of Lightkeepers who ask us to dim our soul and become halfway to soul death, in order to weaken and attract the attention of some nearby Reapers so that we are able to banish them from this world once and for all. We then take a trip to the Watchtower to pick up on an old quest that's been lingering around in our journal..

yeah at thiss point you usely want a second perferable a nature type who good with heal and gradual health draining attacks and hand blast helps too

why do you play as a girl

@jackell27 i really need to put this in an FAQ don't i ;p it's because most of the time, developers spend a lot of effort designing the female character models in their games but spend very little time on the male models. this means that male toons end up looking awkward, out of proportion, and just generally awful in my opinion. if i'm going to spend 100's of hours on a toon, i want to like it's design.

thanks for the gameplays, looking forward to this hitting f2p.. i played champions online for a month or so, it was fun while it lasted, i am sure this will be fun briefly as well.. the travel powers look funner than CO :-)

@ubtri you're very welcome! i can't wait for it to go F2P either - it'll be great to have a huge influx of players =) personally i prefer it a great deal more than CO.

@kiwicanuck1973 at the time I play, its generally pretty quiet on the servers unfortunately. although going to F2P should see a huge influx of players obviously =) the light powers are huge amounts of fun - be sure to check out our new character 'Jordan here to see them in action.

@Sambonz how is the playerbase now, they seen a decrease or increase in subs? What are the light powers like and any new features in the last update? Seems most mmos now are going f2p, with a choice of subscription models. STO was adamant not going f2p now they stated they are. Kind of obvious move since Champions and their new parent company Perfect World. Been playing Space Marine and Dawn of War for my Warhammer fix until that mmo is released. Playing Tie Fighter for my retro Star Wars fix.
