I did everything in this video. I masked the vid, masked the holes, set the keyframes to hold and it's still not working. Help? DX

The negative mode in my Sony Vegas is disabled and I am not sure how to enable it, since it will not allow me to switch modes. O_o

at 2:43 how do u do that? u finish masking it and then delete the background? what do u do for that?
