It breaks my heart to see his cry like that. He has to live with that pain for the rest of his life.

Oy Lok Om uy! yom aneth om nas... I know its hard to live with pain and sorrow because of this regime ,but think it this way. The thousands and millions who died has nomore suffering. We who is still alive still have to suffer and have pain every single days. Everything we do is suffering, and the only way to end your suffer in life is to learn to do good deeds forgive have compassion and kindness towards others. May God Bless each and everyones!

The vietnamese are NOT the savior, they are at war with Khmer Rouge, they came in hoping to occupy Cambodia and to irradicate the Khmer Rouge, because the Khmer Rouge, despite their brutality against their own people, they still love their country, and they destest the vietnamese,i never doubt the Khmer Rouge love for his country, they love Cambodia, but it's their crime against their own people that sickened me.

I met both these men in Phnom Penh in 2005, Vann Nath and Chum Mey...together with Bou Meng, they are the only Tuol Sleng survivors still alive...only 7 out of 16,000 prisoners survived the place. Vann Nath owns a restaraunt not far from Wat Phnom. Chum Mey used to drive a truck but is retired now

It must be very very hard to re-visit a place where he was once held as a captive..luckily he have a friend to compfort him,no one can understand the horror that goese on in this place better then a fellow captive...he still cry and weep,i don't think he is completely dead inside,it's human to cry,and mourn the lost of love ones, despite what the khmer rouge did to his entire family.

It break my heart to see my elders cried tears of sadness,i too lost families memberes during Khmer Rouge,I shared his pain and suffering, how could we as the people let this happened to our own brothers and sisters, how can our leaders and king allowed such tragedy to happened in such a beautiful place ? my heart bleed to see this old man grieve from loosing his families wife and children.

im not cambodian, but i personally think that the vietnamese are the saviors because while the genocide was occuring, the whole world just stood by and ignored the suffering of the ppl. i kniow that china and the U.S are responsible for Pol Pot's rise but we have to understand that time no one really knew what they were all about. however, Pol Pot is way more responsible than those that helped him in his revolution
