She has the build of the Rott and the color and fur of a Golden except not as long. She is a big teddy bear.

Goldie seems like a nice dog. It is curious that most golden-rotties have the reverse phenotype. Maybe her mother was a g and her father an r & it's usually the other way. I've had both and am considering a mix. Breed traits are generic, of course, but how is her temperment? Any health problems associated w/ her genetics? Thanks for posting this video.

@K9spot66 HI - Thanks for posting and I apologize for the delay in answering. Where can I learn more about the genetics terminaology that you mentioned in your post? Or please explain if you have time. I took Bio many years ago, but don't know the meaning of g and r, reverse phenotype. I heard about of her parents 2nd hand, but not from a 100% accurate reference. She has tolerated 10 foster dogs or all races and creeds, and helped them all. Thanks, K9spot66

Hello - unfortunately, I only heard from the friend that had to give her up that his brother knew that the parents were one of each. I have not seen another like Goldie in 10 years that I have had her, and all the vets say the same thing. I have seen the same mix but they always turn-out the colors of the Rott and the shape of the Golden. Goldie was just a fluke. She is my teddy bear and a great personality. Thanks!

i know sombody that has a golden lab/rotty mix, the gold fur with the rotty head, and because the dog eats more then the owner the dog weighed in at 156 pounds when taken into the vet to get the nails trimmed. the dog responds to its real name Kenny and to its nickname Dad. pretty awsome =)
