Need safe borders from hunting next to homes! Annotations explain the situation of hunting hide beside our refuge-like neighborhood. This is an ideal spot for relaxing, bird watching, reading a book or just having a glass of wine as it should be UNTiL the hunters come to hunt a BAITED AREA (against the law). http://www.fws.gov/le/HuntFish/waterfowl_baiting.htm http://www.ncwildlife.org/Hunting/waterfowl.aspx#wfbaitinglaws Geese here are rather tame from multiple years of living next to humans. We share our pond setting with Great Blue & Little Green Herons, occassional Woodies & certain mergansers, Kingfisher, Grebes, Rails, Cormorants, Opsreys, Bald Eagles, a variety of hawks, sometimes even otters & of course, Canada geese. Due to MY expressions of CONCERN for SAFETY my family has had false loathing rumors spread. This is not about anti gun/hunting. We are pro-gun/conceal carry holders. The only concern these people have is they will NO longer be able to hunt near the houses. The field is large & bordered by swamp/creek.
