@elizabethdanger1 that is not a reasonable arguement. If i had a decision to go to a regular court or be on TV at peoples court i would probably chose peoples court as well. That gives no right to the judge to disrespect me and call me whatever the hell she wants. THis sepcific judge tells people not to call her MS. and call her judge, mam, or urhonor. So why is it that the judge can be called that and not the doctor. They both went to many years of school to earn their title.

1. he chose to come to HER court. he wasnt not forced. he came to HER for help.

2. i dont think he would appreciate it if someone came into HIS office for trearment and acted all uppity

3. if he is so high and mighty, why did he lower himself to come to the peoples court???

The judge called him honey, that's not being disrespectful, that's just being slightly informal. It's not a big deal. And why do you make it sound like this "specific judge" is being unreasonable when she asks to be called Judge, Mam etc? ALL judges are supposed to be addressed like this, it's just protocol. And besides, it is only during the court setting that this applies; a doctor is called a doctor even on his identity card, I don't think this applies to the judge.

Ahhhhhh....I love women..."we're awesome", "we're empowered", "wer're independent.....but, if things get difficult, I need the government or a man to bail me out. Judge Milian probably got special grants/scholarships/internship­s all through college for being a) female and b) Cuban. Even with the game rigged (her show, her being the judge), she still loses her composure and, in the end, had to ask a man (Douglas) to help her out. Bwahahaha! Empowered indeed.

I honesttly think its clear that the man came in bearing a chip on his shoulder. and instead of realising the judge called him 'honey'(how dare she!) to placate and calm him down, his ego took that as disrespect. The judge is fussy about how she is addressed cause she needs to maintain authority in her courtroom not because she feels the need to remind everyone she went to law school. That doctor was an overly proud man :-(
