Blimey, you've got some issues.

@ryko26 So you don't buy the idea that comedy can be transgressive?
-
@ryko26 I was at a gig once where some posh prick with floppy hair got up in between each band and performed a poem, I wanted to kill him he was so pleased with himself - Tim Key has captured this type of person brilliantly in this persona, I just feel your missing out if you dont find this funny it tickles my sense of humor in a different way to most stuff.

@garethbowler I know what you're saying but it doesn't wash - like Showgirls claiming it was meant to be a comedy all along - he can't say "my unfunniness is deliberate, don't you get it?"!
-
@ryko26 I'll try to explain but clearly you don't have the right sense of humor - it's a persona based on the type of person you've described, the smug self satisfaction is meant to irk. It's about the gap between how he thinks the world see's him and how we actually see him, he thinks he's profound we think he's a bit of a twat, I squirm watching these sometimes.

That's an oddly specific attack.. :I

@MrGrubbinsmittens He's shit and always will be. Reminds me of the kind of nerd at school who, relishing the new freedom of the sixth form (all the kids who used to bully him had gone), thought he was suddenly really funny. It's the smug self satisfaction that really irks. Comedy needs some self-deprecation and he has none, othewise he'd exert some self-editing and spare us most of his "humour".
@ryko26 He's not really making fun of the attack, he's making fun of the attacker, I'm pretty sure that's allowed. Everyones allowed to call a terrorist a dickhead right?

@ryko26 I'm not going to continue this debate with you. You don't find his comedy funny, but a lot of people do. Comedy is subjective.
