"Tale Of Laughing In The Dark"

After a clown, Zeebo, stole some charity money from the circus, he ran from authorities and hid in the funhouse. After it caught fire, killing Zeebo, it was believed that he started the fire on accident because he loved to smoke cigars. A teenager named Josh decides to prove that the funhouse isn't haunted by stealing Zeebo's nose. He learns that the story isn't fiction when Zeebo comes back to collect.

@aplayaz2000 Half the Goosebumps books were written by ghostwriters, and after the first few they were all much lighter, horror in the sense of featuring monsters and such (I'll allow an exception for I Live In Your Basement because ultimate mindscrew). It also always relied on the same tropes and such, particularly the twist at the end. AYAOTD had the first introduction to horror for most nineties kids, with an excellent framing device and, in general, better, more interesting stories.
