lol...actually, lots of asians have been doing this hobby for many years! This hobby was actually introduced into other countries as well as USA from travelers, tourists, and immigrants moving to USA.
It's just that a lot of asians do it in secret because lots of them gamble with fighter fishes. Those that do show bettas, like me, tend to be more open to spreading the word. :)
