In this battle, goku transforms to supersaiyan two, when vegeta uses babidi's spell to gain power. they are pretty much evened out even tho goku is holding back

@diamorious. U r wrong. Vegeta was an ascended super saiyan which he obtained working in the hyperbolic time chamber during the cell saga. Not enough to beat cell. Gohan turned ssj2 in cell saga. During the buu saga he turned ssj2 as majin vegeta. This stage can be determined by increased speed and stregnth. More defined hair. And electricity surrounding his body.

Alright so i'm here to clear a few things up. first off Vegeta was an Ascended Super Saiyan. (after cell games extensive training) Vegeta knowingly let himself be his puppet for Babidi because he knew it would awaken the Evil inside of him. When he turned Majin Vegeta, it is the form of Super Saiyan 2.

@ DKenair2, Goku is the moral in the story. Goku stands for everything that is right he is the japenese version of Superman. Vegetta played his role as a rival. He was nothing more than that.

I love Dragon Ball Z, but as I have grown up, I have come to see that they utterly rape Vegeta's character in the series. Why did Toei even bother making Vegeta Goku's rival if he was just going to sit there and baby Goku while Vegeta has to struggle and he still isn't up to par. Vegeta is such a great character and I hate how Toei treats him.

Vegeta was able to surpass the super saiyan level (turn SS2) following the Cell saga thanks to hard training during peace time. But after seeing Goku fight in Babidi's space ship he figured that Goku was still stronger than him. He let himself turn Majin Vegeta because under Babidi's authority his power level would raise such as with Spoppovich and his buddy.

vegeta had achieved super saiyan 2 during the 7 years after cell just like goku did, he didn't achieve it thru babidi's magic..babidi's magic doesn't increase the person's power just releases the darkness inside them making them more rutheless

@kel214 Not exactly, Goku going super Saiyan 3 is only if he plans to kill his opponent, or at least get real close to it, and not to mention if he did, then he'd lose alot of time he had on Earth.
