Euro London Appointments, the specialist language recruiter which has offices throughout the UK and continental Europe including three offices in Germany: Düsseldorf, Munich and Frankfurt, has been named as one of the top 100 employers in Germany.

The award organised by Compamedia, is awarded by the university of St. Gallen, experts in leadership and employer benchmarking projects for medium sized companies, was presented by Wolfgang Clement, the former German Economic Affairs Minister.

Now in its seventh year, the award which gives the quality seal of Top Employer to successful companies, recognises excellence in six categories:

Leadership and Vision (achieved a top 10 position)
Motivation and team dynamics
Culture, Communication and values
Employee development
Family friendly working environment
Internal entrepreneurship

Euro London had to complete a detailed questionnaire developed and evaluated by leadership experts from the Institute of Human Resources Management at the University of St Gallen. There was also a detailed on line survey of all employees which was judged by a panel of leading business and academic experts.

The results of our analyses show repeatedly that sustained investment in employee development will be reflected in an organisations financial performance and employers which specifically develop their employer brand will increase their competitive edge says Professor Heike Bruch of the University of St Gallen.

Among the points that really impressed the judges included the transparency and flow of information communicated to all employees. All offices have wall mounted screens which communicate all the sales activity across all the offices: This encourages a real competitive spirit among the teams and really motivates every individual to give their very best every day said Frederick Dohn, Manager of the Dusseldorf office. Other initiatives include family friendly working policies such as flexible working hours. There are also rewards for the most successful employees and team events where staff can get to know their colleagues from across Europe.

Emma Brady, Senior Country Manager (Germany and Switzerland), for Euro London said Were delighted with our success, to be named one of the Top 100 employers -particularly in these tough economic times underlies our commitment to our staff - this not only motivates our own team but also positions us as an employer of choice for potential employees of the future.
