This is a scene from the 1st Season episode " The Green Opal Affair ". The focus here is the two lovely U.N.C.L.E. " secretaries " that we see ( in order ). The first " secretary " ( a generic term applied to all of the U.N.C.L.E. base support staff ), a lovely asian woman is doing the job of the " Receptionist ", which was a secrurity checkpoint / entry job. The scene is at the " Enforcement Agent's " secret entrance. Upon entering the " Receptionist " after identifying who and what they were ( staff or authorised visitor ) would attach the triangular colour coded badge to their clothing. The colours indicated their security status and access; yellow was the highest security clearance ( usually worn by all " enforcement agents " ), then red and green for authorised visitors. The security badges also activated and opened the internal doors and lifts like a modern swipe card. This scene also gives us a nice view via the first " secretary " ( " Receptionist " ) of the pistol and holster ( and their waist belt ) that they wore at the small of their back which was unique and a distinctive feature of the show. The 2nd " secretary " was a character called " Heather McNab " ( also known as " Miss McNab " ). She was the 2nd ( and one of the nicest ) " Mr Waverly's secretary ", a kind of senior personal assistant ho would often brief and prepare Napoleon and Illyia for their missions. She was also a Intelligence Analyst / collator. During the series different women would do this role and often they would flirt with " Napoleon Solo " ( Robert Vaughn ). You also may note that in the 1st season the " secretaries " wore their own different clothes, both in colour nd style type ( as per my other " nice skirt " clips ). As you can see " secretary " No 1 has a smooth " straight " skirt whereas " secretary " No 2 has a vertical pleated skirt. The pistol the " secretaries " were usually Akira water pistols as you only see the " grips " / back of the pistol, but it's believed the pistols were meant to be the 1934 Modelo Beretta; although the " grips " on the first " secretary's " pistol in the closeup look different; possibly the 1934 Mauser 7.62mm Browning which was the first " U.N.C.L.E. " Special ". Perhaps because of the closeup they decided to use a real pistol for the detail ( compared to the 2nd " secretary " ). And lastly as you can see they wanted to show the international / multi cultural aspect of the show ref the staff; it wouldn't have been very common to have seen a asian lady depicted in this way on TV at the time ( the scene is at U.N.C.L.E Headquarters New York - USA ). Enjoy !

  • Lots of info in the description, but no mention of names. The Chinese girl is Linda Ho. She was also on I Spy and two Wild Wild West episodes. The funny thing about MFU is the receptionist is almost always named "Wanda" yet the actresses change. Nancy Hseuh had a turn and Leigh Chapman was Wanda for many episodes.

  • No the blonde is prettier by far.
