  • At the end, about how high was the plane? I'm scared to death of flying and probably never will, but that hieght looked "manageable" to me.

  • We were probably around 7,000 feet or so - just my educated guess. Unfortunately, airliners usually cruise at about 37,000 feet. I'm pretty scared of heights myself, like in tall buildings or balconies with little railings, but I love flying - go figure. How do you know you're petrified of flying if you'll never fly? I recommend trying it - it's safer than driving on the highway!

  • I did fly once when I was 8 y/o, but now I'm claustrophobic and can't stand being trapped in something I can't get out of, plus, if a car gets into an accident the odds of survival are great, in a plane they're almost non-existent. If you know of any way for me to get over my fear then let me know...I'd appreciate it :-)

  • While it's true that you're more likely to survive a car crash than you are a plane crash, the CHANCES of you being in a car crash are far far FAR greater than being in an airliner crash. Statistically, flying in a commercial jet is the safest way to travel when compared to other modes of travel. This includes driving, trains, and even walking!! You're more likely to get hit by a car on the sidewalk than crash in a plane!! :)

  • haha im going to orlando tomorrow from boston and my flight number is 431 too, lol funky

  • Yeah everyday they have the same flight numbers that run at the same times. have a nice flight, and enjoy florida's warmth!

  • Got any advice for what to do on an airplane if I have great fear?

  • @mgdrummer78 ndpitch has a point. Its safer to drive in a plane than on a highway. Dont worry! Ive been on a plane lot of times. I was scared at first but then I started drawing and playing games, I forgot I was on the plane!

  • @mgdrummer78 You get the worst turbulence at sub 20,000 feet. THe higher you fly the smoother the ride in general.

  • im goin to fort myers tomorrow from boston

  • @mgdrummer78 its not as bad as you think. im afraid of heights and when i flew i was like this isnt that bad. fif you dont look out the window it feels like your in a car.

  • @mgdrummer78 I hear you and am the same as you with anxiety disorder, and it really sucks because I do want to travel more, esp. to Europe and there is no getting around it . I suggest Lorazepam 1/2 hour before boarding, or Dramamine to make you drowsy and avoid nausea..also do not eat before or during flight..stick to toast and crackers ONLY!! TRUST ME. If you are hungry and do want to eat the food they give you, take a ginger pill right after. Feeling sick would only increase your anxiety.

  • JetBlue is truly a great airline

  • i was scared till i tried flying from boston to georgia to florida 2 flights back and forth

if your scared of fliying just think during ww2 they were flying through bullets yet the technology wasnt that perfected yet and most of them survived. this the technology is better and youre not flying through bullets so you are pretty much as safe in your house as to in a plane! ;)

  • i was scared till i tried flying from boston to georgia to florida 2 flights back and forth

  • Awesome take off!
