A letter to,....
Mr President and Senator Clinton:
Plagiarism simply put means to use the work of another as if it were your own. Stealing is optional.
If someone gave you their term paper and said, "go ahead, use it", that is still plagiarism! If caught you get a zero for that! You get "Bidened" for that!
Speaking of Biden, it is ironic that he should pick this year to run after having to step down from his first presidential race when it was exposed that he "plagiarized". A further irony is the fact that Obama could be the next President.
From Wiki: "In 1987, Joe Biden ran as a Democratic presidential candidate. When the campaign began, he was considered a frontrunner because of his moderate image. However, the campaign ended when he was accused of plagiarizing a speech by Neil Kinnock, then-leader of the British Labour Party. Though Biden had correctly credited the original author in all speeches but one, the one where he failed to make mention of the originator was caught on video. In the video Biden is filmed repeating a stump speech by Kinnock, with only minor modifications. "Why is it that Joe Biden is the first in his family ever to go a university? Why is it that my wife . . . is the first in her family to ever go to college? Is it because our fathers and mothers were not bright? . . . Is it because they didn't work hard? My ancestors who worked in the coal mines of northeast Pennsylvania and would come after 12 hours and play football for four hours? It's because they didn't have a platform on which to stand." After Biden withdrew from the race it was learned that he had correctly credited Kinnock on other occasions. He failed to do so, however, in the Iowa speech that was recorded and distributed to reporters (with a parallel video of Kinnock) by aides to Michael Dukakis, the eventual nominee. Dukakis fired John Sasso, his campaign manager and long-time Chief of Staff, but Biden's campaign could not recover.[20][21]"
My gosh, just once , Biden forgot to mention the author and he became completely discredited. Twenty short years ago this happened.
It doesn't matter that Gov Patrick claims to have given Obama his speeches. It was incumbent of Obama to allow all of us to KNOW that words and inspiration of those speeches ( spectacles more like it ) were NOT HIS OWN. And of course he didn't exactly offer it until he was exposed. Apparently he developed a pattern of taking on the persona of his friend the Governor. i find that weird and deceptive and like they were perpetrating a scam on their intended audiences. And, ...
he used you, Hillary. He and his wife understood the plan and they set you up. They knew that at some point any thinking person would accuse him of being all words and no substance. He was LYING IN WAIT, for that to happen so he could go into the next speech of Gov. Patrick's. Wow! Do you feel had, coz i do?
BUSH misled us regarding his humble foreign policy and then once in office , the Iraq war. Do we really want someone else that fudges with the truth? Someone that doesn't think the truth is important. Someone that thinks the end justifies the means? i say NO.
No to Obama. He broke his trust with his colleague , Hillary, by spinning a web of borrowed rhetoric and then ambushing her with it. He tricked all of us Americans and his response was to cavalierly put the both of you down for making a big deal about it and to hint quite loudly of your being jealous of him.
i feel it is incumbent upon the both of you ( please) to follow through on this issue and see to it the American people and the world understand the importance of just how deeply he has played with our emotions, desire for change, peace and stability in this world. Oh, an did i forget to mention TRUST?
Of course the MSM will make light of this as Obama is great for ratings and after all, that is what counts . They will say making minor comparisons of one to three words phrases is lame and is done by everyone. They will not acknowledge or take into account the full scope of his intentions. Remember , first the constant use of flowery words of inspiration to woo the crowd, then the expected rebuke from his opponent for lack of substance, followed by the coup de grace of the "Just Words" speech meant to incite the already feverish crowds into righteous indignation. Regardless of a claimed collaboration, without proof, the speeches were not his. He is not authentic period.
Biden paid the price. Twenty years later Obama should ,too.
Sincerely,
hourilorrain
Probably should have stopped Martin Luther King as well.

@OrgasmicOprah You certainly don't mean to put Obama in the same class as Martin Luther King??

Both Hillary and Obama of course know their sources. Your point that Plagarism is a sign of character is a cogent point but the problme with it in your case is... I just prooved now that Hillary is a plagarist as well my your own definition... if you care to look up her copying of John Edwards "we will be okay but will america be" youtube video you can see her copy that... thereby you have reduced your own candidate to same same level as Obama. I think they are both good candidates.

OK i accede to your point however, i feel Obama went a few steps further and i call that a rhetoric scam.
i agree they are worthy opponents bringing different qualities for voters to choose. He does though have connections they have helped him to postion himself for the presidency. This will all come out soon.
Only real candidate that answers the problems of the times is Ron Paul. Research this.

Hmmm. Thats precisely why FDR should have never been President! FDR was a plagarist as well. His famous "I See..." was lifted from the Ingersole Speech in his bid for the President in 1876. Later FDR speech was lifted for a simular speech by Nixon. FDR turned out to be a crappy President, huh? Two noted President's at opposite ends of the spectrum as far as popular consent... BOTH plagarists. Makes you think it doesn;t really matter, huh.
