3 State Kayak Trip - 2008

These pictures are from one of my favorite trips to take.
It begins in Bella Vista, AR on Sugar Creek. Then flows into the Elk River in Pineville, MO. And it ends at Cowskin Cove on Grand Lake in Oklahoma.
It's about 40 river miles & takes 3 days to complete.
It's a small river, but requires a lot of skill & stamina. One trip required 17 portages; most in the first half of the trip. It's what I imagine a small creek in the Amazon would be like. The second half of the trip is more open & free-flowing.
