Here we test a Beretta PX4 Storm in an Over The Beach (OTB) Test. A test like this in meant to simulate the conditions of walking through a river, lake, marsh, etc. and being surprised by the enemy; thus requiring one to draw the weapon quickly from the wet environment.

Based upon the results of the test, we are confident that the Beretta PX4 can stand up to this demand.

  • Yeah, sand test, mud test, snow test-a friend told me if a gun freezes the slide won't cycle the round-, the glock says they can do all that, anybody know what it is about the design that it can where so many others can't? Why don't our troops carry glocks in iraq then? If they won't be supplied, can soldiers buy their own?

  • @kephrarubin I've heard a lot about Glocks doing that as well, but haven't really seen any good tests to speak of... we are going to try and schedule testing on Glocks in the not too distant future.

Truth is, a lot of pistols (specifically polymer framed ones) can withstand those tests... problem is no one is testing every pistol out there, and not every pistol can stand up to all the tests... maybe only a few. We've got some big plans to do all that testing and more, so keep an eye out! =)

While I have an affinity with your appreciation of Glocks, please check your facts.

Once you find a video of a Glock being dropped from 50,000ft (as you claim) I will be extremely interested.

Better yet, why don't you put your personal gun through your amazing test?

Until then, cheers to stupid posts!

  • @SpartanCombativesGrp Not sure why you're initiating in a cyber-pissing contests when no one can verify what you say. You could be a 16 year-old Call of Duty fanatic with a Glock complex. I'm not denying what you say, but it's pointless do throw out credentials on the internet. And for the record, Glock has had just as many issues as any other firearm. They're known for having ejector and spring problems...just saying.

  • I own a berretta px4 (.40) and love it. I shot my buddies xd40 while he was shooting my px4 at the range.

I found out real quick that the xd has quite a bit more recoil to it. Which initially affected accuracy. On the second shot I adjusted and found the weapon was very accurate. My buddy on the other hand handed my Beretta back and the first words out of his mouth were, "I like the way this feels."

Nothing against Springfield but Beretta created a fine weapon, which I'm about to go shoot

  • Belle prove grande beretta px4

  • I would like to see the same test with the Beretta 92 or 90-Two.

  • Hey do u like the px4f .45 becuz i was thinking about getting one respond with cons and pros please thanks!!

  • @kephrarubin Glock's reliability is somewhat owed to the loose tolerance it has,I think.

  • @MrBigden37 Yes, the 92 series. The PX4 is a totally different gun.

  • @esh325 Would the Beretta be oversized for a .40 or .45 as well? I assume you are referencing the 92 series in full size. It's size doesn't bother me a bit, concealed carry IWB no, but I have a PX4 compact and subcompact for that duty.

  • @esh325 Oh, okay. Well, thanks for the details.

  • @KaosuKaiari No. The Beretta's double action pull is heavier then a Glock's trigger.
