hey, it was disco times ya know, back in them studio 54 days where anything goes, kinda like it does now behind the scenes in the music industry when it comes to artist gettin' down low freaky. I watched her perform the song on an older video from the 70's on youtube and she was so nonchalant about singing the moans in front of a mediocre audience back in the day and she didn't even seem like she was under the influence of anything--I would have been waaaay too shy to do that. lol

Please, don't get me wrong, I have no reason not to believe you! As a matter of fact, when you say she regretted singing this song once she became a christian, and was embarrassed by it, it makes perfect sense! I am simply shocked that's what she did, or should I say, was done to her! And I'm no prude (I know it's cliché to say that!) The moaning sounded so real, now I know why!

Rest In Peace, Ms. Summer ~ another beautiful voice that is no longer with us. But I can tell you one thing, that heavenly choir is sho' 'nuff, OFF - THE - HOOK. It is unbelievable that we have lost so much talent ... Donna, Etta, Whitney, Tina Marie, AND Chuck Brown too ~ Shucks, you can't tell me that St. Peter ain't bust a move. Still hard to believe that they are gone :( Unfortunately, I never met any of them - just grew up listening to all of their music.

no I'm for real, that's what I read back in the day, i tried to find the article online but not having any luck, I know you don't know me from can of paint, but it's true that I read an article interview of her making those comments.

yet at the same time it fit in so perfectly.
When I think of the '70s i think of drugs, the best music, freedom and the best porn ever.
those people must have had the time of their lives back then.
I guess I'm sort of lucky to be born in 1977.

This was the first music I ever dance. I felt in love with it and can never forget my first step. I loved it so very much, I couldn't wait to get my hold of this CD. I will never get tired of it. Very GOOD MEMORIES. Rest in Peace, Donna as you will ALWAYS be remembered....

Back when music still possessed soul. I hate most pop music I hear now. Friggin autotune. No soul.
