I was watching this promotion - as well as the NWA's Vancouver affiliate hosted by Ed Karl - all during Hulk Hogan's first year as WWF champion. And you know what's funny? - I still thought that the Hulkster was billed as "Thunderlips" as he was in Rocky III. AND I was unaware that the WWF even existed until October 1984 or that Hulk was the league's champion.

This is due partly to the fact that the WWF was not broadcast in my area until nearly a year after Hogan first won the league title.
