*Background to the story:
8-13-08 I was in Drive Thru at work when a Mexican guy asks for someone that can speak Spanish, well the lady behind him was a Portuguese lady who heard the man talking. Thus the lines "Eh speak eh Spanish?!"

And the first half has to do with the fact that a lot of old Portuguese parents complain that they're kids should be learning Portuguese better rather than learn English cause its hard for older folks to learn Portuguese....
I think its a little easier to understand if you have or know an old fashioned Portuguese person. Also knowing what is being said in this video helps too...LOL*

I've met plenty of 2nd generation Luso-Canadians, especially with parents from the Azores or Madeira who would probably do this same impersonation of their parents and also probably speak this kind of Portuguese with all the errors!! Remember that many of these people have never had a Portuguese lesson in their life and have merely picked it up through osmosis from hearing family members speak. Although, I did find "e eu tava como..." (and I was like....before a quote) hilarious

The portuguese language is very difficult to learn, and i think she is really trying very hard. I;m portuguese and i understand what she is trying to say, so what's the problem ?? There are many portuguese that speak a lot worse than she does!! But she rally should slow dow a bit.
