  • I am one of those people that needs their sleep and would likely die within 72 - 96 hours without sleep. Living on the low left end of the bell curve evolutionarily I envy those that require less and are sustained by the lower right of the bell curve. I wish I could occupy their territory and relocate them to mine. The lucky bastards, lol.

  • This study's experimental procedure would also ended up depriving participants of REM sleep (dreams) which in an fMRI would resemble a waking state in the brain.

  • the study must only be examining short term sleep deprivation. Continued loss of sleep is known to result in irritability as well as a long list of negative mental and physical symptoms

  • So strange, last week i'd been awake for over 30 hours and i did feel it, and i thought exactly this. I've just stumbled on this by accident.
