Please accept my comments with the utmost respect. While this instructor has a good base in ballroom dance, the fundamental movements for hula are quite different. Hula should not be danced, practiced, nor performed while wearing shoes. Also, the basic kaholo should be grounded, feet flat, and knees flexed. There should be no bouncing or "up & down" stepping. I realize this is a recreational class but there should be more emphasis on hula basics. Enjoy the journey in your hula practice! Mahalo!
