the first verse was originally done by chuck d/public enemy. this is actually his tribute to a great influence on his social consciousness. this is power hip hop at its strongest!

This is from Pharoahe Monch's LP Desire. The first verse is line for line from the original by Public Enemy. At about 2:05 till the end it is all original material by Pharoahe Monch and his production staff. Incredible lyrics and beats, old and new. Much respect to Public Enemy and Pharoahe Monch.
