  • Hey mate, just wonder what the artist and song name is of the music playing in the background?

Awesome video by the way, great OpenGL skills :)

  • Hi .. your answer is just several posts back. Its Luis Armstrong: La Cucaracha

  • Hi and thx! Song playing in the background is Louis Armstrong's 'La Cucaracha'. I have been attending Masaryk's University in Brno, Czech Republic.

  • Codeblocks is the best - lightweight, fast, and easy.

Don't use Dev C++, as it is several years out of date and is almost abandonware

  • Windows should play this while defragmenting...

  • @RyanPridgeon The only reason I think you should use Dev C++ is if you are developing for a very old PC, such as a 9x PC (In which case you would probably use Turbo C++).

  • @maitrelame2 lol xD

  • LOLide's

    nice robot ++++

  • what grade are you in? cause thats a pretty sweet program

  • nice vid.

I use VS2008 but I will try codeblocks and see what i think... it's supposed to be better for making portable apps.

  • Code blocks sucks.. Yes its light weight.. thats about it really.. If its the fastest IDE aournd, its just by a few seconds of compile time, which i wont bitch about..

There is no 'best' IDE, they all do the friggin same tinhg. I use Visual C++ 08, it feels like it has evrything, its just got a more pro feel to it.

Codeblocks just ruins the feeling of programming for me, its niterface just looks like shit. But evryone has their own opinion.

Nice vid btw, The music suits it lol xD

  • Hey, does Code::Blocks help make OpenGL applications, like when you start to type something, it shows the several things you can enter?

is it really easier than Dev C++?

  • Definately Visual Studio 2008
