Falklands War - The Untold Story (1987) Five years after the war in the Falklands between Britain and Argentina, many facts were still wrapped in red tape. Many of the key figures had remained silent. No-one had been to Argentina to tell the other side of the story. For the majority of the British people, the war was another glorious chapter in their history. With flags waving and bands playing, British troops had sailed away to repel the invaders. Patriotic emotions were stirred as they returned victorious. 'The Falklands War - The Untold Story', shot in Britain, the United States, Argentina and the Falklands, revealed for the first time to the British public the harsh realities of modern warfare. It caused controversy in Britain because it also told Argentina's story. Government MPs tried to get the film banned, but Yorkshire TV's telephones were jammed with messages of support from wives and mothers of those who died in the conflict. Called 'the documentary to end all documentaries about the Falklands War' in the British press, it was also described as 'more poem than polemic - a hymn against war'.

  • Booby trapping an ammo dump - dirty, stinking Argie bastards...

  • @krackersdave That's nothing. They even set booby traps around Stanley under cups and so on where children could easily set them off. If they could find them amidst all the shit the Argentines left lying around. Filthy bastards. What a way to win the hearts and minds of the Kelpers eh?

  • Hernán Cortés speaks again thu the argies

  • @elargentinounico1982 Nicely put, but argentina does its self no favours. If they wanted to have some relation to the falklands why did they invade the country in 1982 ?

  • @krackersdave Show some respect, both countrys were only doing there line of duty. Not all argentine people agree that the falklands belong to them. They get raised told that the islands were stolen from them"SHIT" Personaly I beleave in the free wills of those falklanders. If you look at a meeting with the UN discussing they dont even know the name of our Prime Minister, they called him james cameron. This was in a discussion about the islands.

  • @elargentinounico1982 Blah Blah Blah - come and invade our lands again, we're ready for you, you land stealing. murdering, scumbag pigs.

  • @krackersdave the only bastards in here is you!!!!!!!!!

  • @krackersdave: that isn't against the rules of war, but knowingly having a subordinate set the booby trap off goes against all rules of decency.
