WARNING - viewers may find some images in this report disturbing. Animal rights campaigners in China are launching a campaign against the trade in cats for human dietary consumption. For some Chinese cat meat is an acceptable part of their diet. However the campaigners claim that domestic pets are being kidnapped and killed to fuel the roaring trade of moggy meat.

no it wouldn't :') if a tree is just a tree it offers its fruit so that its seeds can be spread, if it was a tree with feelings it would still offer the fruit so that its seeds could be spread and would be grateful that we were spreading the seeds for it, because the seeds are like its offspring and it wants them to grow. It wouldn't care for the wellbeing of the fruit because it made it with the intent to be eaten.

no thats how a tree without feelings works, you proposed a hypothetical where trees have feelings, if they had feelings things would work differently.

no a fruit tree produces fruit to spread it's seeds, it's intended to be eaten so the seeds (which is what is important to the tree, not the fruit) can reach different locations and grow. If they wanted the fruit to stay with them as a mother would it's child, then they wouldn't shed the fruit after a certain period of time. The fruit is the tree's attempt to cox in animals so that it's seeds can be spread.

well capt hippy one problem with your logic or lack there of, if the tree could feel emotion i don't think they would be happy because if they had emotion that would make them semi sentient at the least and us eating the fruit they produce would be the equivalent to eating their young, or possible their genitals.
