Maxima, leader of an alien empire, discovers her perfect mate - Superman.
On a distant planet, Sazu fights Maxima in order to win her heart but is ultimately defeated. Maxima's mother learns of Superman, and Maxima instantly considers him her perfect soulmate. She teleports to Earth and causes trouble to gain Superman's attention. Superman eventually traps her with a steel beam, but she teleports it away and eventually knocks Superman out. They are teleported back to the planet. However, once back, they and Maxima's mother are thrown into a dungeon by Sazu. Superman discovers that the dungeon is protected by an electric field. Then, a gigantic tentacled creature starts stalking them. Superman eventually defeats the creature by forcing it into the electric field and knocking it out, also overloading the field. The three escape, and Maxima easily defeats Sazu's troops. Maxima decides to kill Sazu, which Superman disapproves, but agrees to her locking Sazu up. Superman finally convinces Maxima that they cannot marry, and Maxima reluctantly lets him go back to Earth. As Superman leaves, he tells her that there is "someone for everyone." Right after Superman leaves, Lobo crash in, presumably looking for the gigantic creature, and Maxima instantly falls in love again.
