"As preachers of the Gospel, we must deal with you honestly and not like charlatans."

- Paul Washer

How many times have you walked the aisle, said the prayer, or done any of the other "works that merit salvation" from God's wrath? Paul Washer explains why salvation is a purely a gift from God. It's given by God not because of some works done by a man or the man's personal merit. If it was, the man could boast. (Eph. 2:8-9)

  • @Jorm83 amen brother!!

  • The Spirit did not create the world...Jesus did (Romans 1). I'm not saying that Washer is teaching heresy, but ought to clarify himself on this point.

The rest of it is right on! I like his definition of repentance..."giving up to God". The classic definition is "change your mind", but I see no conflict between the two positions.

  • @AwesomePeople313 I get what you're saying and agree. The problem is that our examinations of ourselves and others have become judging and non-loving. We are in-fact supposed to test each other in line with scripture but the act and the outcome is with full love and faith and to come into closer relationship with God. Judge and test in line of one's faith has become distorted. You can test your faith (and others) without judging but the result must glorify God. In Peace.

  • All have sinned and greatly offended the holy God of the bible. The just punishment is death then hell. That's not Gods will. He suffered and died on the cross paying for the law you broke in His life's blood so He could legally dismiss your case. You must repent turn from your sin and trust alone in Jesus Christ for your salvation.

  • @dreiher2 Lets Show Others The Image Of God. It Might Be The Only light They See.

  • @dreiher2 Im Sorry To Jump into This. But You Say You're Saved. Correct? Christians Shouldn't Judge One Anothers Salvation With God. Their Relationship Is Not You're Relationship. Plus It Says In The Bible That not To Judge. And When The Bible Says One Thing And People Who Say They're Christians Act The Other Way. It Contradicts, And trashy The Image Of Jesus. " I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." I've Had Someone Say This To Me...

  • All of these false converts on here...having been brought up in a seeker sensitive church, its so hard for them once they hear the true gospel! Thank you Paul Washer

  • @ItsNowWarfare I think it is interesting that nobody took me up on showing where he believes in Jesus as the granter and guarantor of his everlasting life, with 100% certainty, no matter how he lives. There is not a single verse in the Bible that says what you are claiming. I looked at a few of these. It takes me about 2 seconds to show where you are wrong on every one. Do you really want me to do that? My point has never been disproven. Paul Washer is probably not saved.
