Grandview Palace burns

Grandview Palace condo was hit by a huge fire that was fought by 20 companies of firefighters. Formerly Brown's Hotel, the movie, "Dirty Dancing," was filmed there.
It had been hit with several fire-safety violations.

At first I thought this was a hotel, then the lady said her apartment was in there... That is SO sad!!!! To think how many people lost their apartments. So sad!!!

I can't see the firefighters working at all! Where they think it was gona burn like the weak houses made of wood? That building was made of cement! If you put a lot of water in it you can save the walls of the building or help stop the fire spreading!

It's sad that this place had so many fire safety violations.... If i owned a complex i would fix them real quick to get it resolved.

You will find out today, Monday the 23rd at 6:30 pm at the Town public official meeting, which if your an owner should attend and support the insurance co. paying out the money to rebuild...

I grew up here, visited practically every summer. My aunt/god mother has an apartment there and I planned on visiting in the summer this year, very sad and devastating :( I hope everyone got out alright
