@bodaggin, Maps are predownloaded. They are 10-20Mb files.

@mepk83 OK, i figured that part, but as far as the MAPS go on the GPS. Are they pre downloaded to the carPC, or are they real time downloaded like google maps, over a 3G connection? And if the maps are already downloaded, how big would the files be? Thanks bud

i found the program, but im having issues with the maps not loading, and the on screen keyboard is all blanked out and i cant type. could you please post a step by step instruction on how to install? thanks!

how does the GPS Receiver work exactly? Does IT download the maps through the receiver itself, or are they updated through the internet connection? The reason I ask is for use with a Car PC where there is no 3G coverage....

@bodaggin the GPS Receiver just tells your pc the x, y, z coordinates. The connection betwenn the receiver and the laptop is bluetooth in this case. There are models with usb cable connection. When the software knows your coordinates it can display your position on the map. You need good maps too.

I use GPS reciever (40euro) and usb-bluetooth (5 euro).
