@roffpoff No, you're not really going to see a big advantage to having 500 watts in the horn; it's just cheaper for them to run the same amp for both drivers in every cabinet in the series.
@iceman977th . . . and one could also compare it to the 177 sq in. of a 15. I'm not trying to say the KSub is a monster, because it's not, but it wasn't designed to be, either. It's main advantage is portability.
No marketing hype here. QSC is a name brand you can trust! My K10's arrived this morning via FedEx and after hooking them up, I was so impressed with the quality over my other powered speakers that I took them on my gig tonight.
I can't believe so much sound comes out of such a small size. I had to keep the volume at about 10% because it was so damn loud.
How about a QSC for dummies? I am not dumb, but I don't know how to daisy chain or how the mysterious buttons and knobs on the back of my K10 work. Would love to know what they do in layman terms.
Hi djteknovibe! Actually they are 500watts RMS, you couldn't believe how good they sound!!! and you don't hace to break your back down setting them up at a gig

Area of a circle is Pi * r^2
the area of two 12's isn't the same as the area of one 24".
Two 12" woofers will have approximately 230 square inches.
A 24" woofer will have approximately 450 square inches of surface area.

24" of surface space? Try 226 square inches of surface AREA compared to 254 for the average 18. -.-

The JBL JRX115 actually had a dual angle pole mount before the QSC K Series. I'm pretty sure that's not a new innovation.
