i left my computer on for about 45minuts then i came back and it tuned it into this ugly channel old channels r better

I 100% agree. I feel so bad for the people who view my channel that can't go to where they want to in one click (the video's page) and can't see the full title of the vids without clicking on them first. Fucking lame.
I'm seriously entertaining the notion of starting to look for alternatives to YouTube and linking to it from my channel.

Wait youtube fucked up your director account with this design? Fuck man, that sucks. I agree that new designs sucks, its just a clusterfuck with everything cramped together. The 'You' out of youtube has been removed.

The new one saves bandwidth, and since YT is still losing Google money they need to do all they can to try and save it else YT might be no more. I don't like the new design much either, though... but the old one does look a bit 'so 2006'.
