It started with turning a school bus into a school room and has led to rural high school students working in a big city research center. In 2005, a Vanderbilt University Medical Center researcher and his medical doctor wife realized long school bus rides in Arkansas could be transformed by putting laptops on board for class work. Now they've forged another step for rural Arkansas students taking them from their small towns to a paid job in a major university science lab in Nashville, Tennessee - with remarkable results. Barb Cramer has the story in this Vanderbilt produced video news release.
