  • hey lisa , i have been following your videos... actually when i cant sleep at night because of the canker sores or the anxiety of having to deal with these alien feeling things on my teeth i watch your videos and i dont feel alone...lol so i hope your gonna add another update soon...i been on here daily checking to see your progress so yes your vidos help alot or at least saving me tears and ripping them off with pliers...thanks so much and hope to see an update soon....

  • @kandykisses200203 Thanks for watching. I'm glad I have helped even in a small way. It's been so long since I've done a video I have kind of forgotten about doing them. I really should do a "closing" type though. All my braces are off now with the exception of 3 brackets on my bottom right and I'm wearing my retainer faithfully. Hang in there, it's totally worth it when they're done. Good luck to you.

  • i noticed in your older vids that the front tooth was crooked. i have braces and i have the same thing. your orthodontist angeled your bracket to a slaint and mine is straight is that the reason y my tooth is still crooked

  • I don't know about the slant in the wire and your tooth remaining crooked. I only know that my crooked tooth eventually became straight! The magic of orthodontal work I guess! I hope your crooked tooth becomes straight soon. You can't lose faith in the method. It works......

  • I still have a gap between my front teeth, my dentist said they aren't going to fix it with braces, but their going to fill the gap in with fake teeth (I don't know an alternative word for this). They said I have a gap because, my teeth are round ?

  • Bonding perhaps? Have you seen an orthodontist? You say your dentist was the one that said they weren't going to "fix your gap with braces". Maybe get a 2nd opinion from an orthodontist on that.

  • You have a lovely home. Did they say why you needed the molar bands? I don't have molar bands. But you never know. I was told the molar bands at my orthodontist 's office was for appliances. I'm really excited and noticed a lot of changes.

  • hello,

does everyone need / or get molar bands when getting braces???

my ortho said he will not put "spacers" because he will use "bonding"

  • Ah hummm ;-) You are very cute and you exciting me hummm pls write me: homme43 ... on msn pls

  • It will all be worth it.. Its alot of pain and hassle but i was so happy when mine came off

  • Good luck! I hope you get yours off soon! I now have at least 2 more years in braces, more likely 3 though. Again, good luck. You will need it. :)

  • Why the change in the wires? Mine were changed due to molar bands being put on my 4 back molars after a year of treatment. Do we have this in common? Thank you for the comment. Good luck with your treatment as well.

  • Hi Lisa! Your arches are looking nice :D I just went from the heavy rectangular wire to the scrawny finishing wire and it hasn't made a difference in how my teeth feel. Anyways, good luck with your treatment (:

  • Hi, thanks for the comment. No, I don't live in Canada, but close, nothern Michigan. I get that alot because of the way I talk. It sounds like you're happy with your braces. I'm happy with mine also, however my husband says I sound like I'm miserable all the time. What are the irrigator and Hydrofloss machines? I use a water pick and I love that. Also have a battery operated one as well.

  • Hi Lisa-Thanks for the update. I got braces on December 30th, I'm 49 and it's great to be sharing this journey with you. Are you using a irrigator like the Hydrofloss machine my dentist recommended. I love it. I live in the Seattle are and it sounds like you live in Canada. Take care and keep the faith.

  • Hi i am an ortho and i wondered what ur teeth was like before the treatment. i also think that you have lovely fillings and that your teeth will be perfect once finished. how many fillings do you have anyway. plz plz reply

  • yeah hopefully they will take them off after 1 1/2 years. i hate my braces aswell.. good luck

  • I don't think that quickly, but they sure are getting straighter! I'm really liking how they look. Thanks for the vote of confidence though!! FYI, my name on Archwired is Metalmouthmom!!

  • Are you asking about the chains? I know I have a picture on another video with the chains. I only had the chain for 4 weeks, which obviously isn't enough time to change the gap, but I also have the crossbite and I think that has something to do with how slow it is taking. Sopposedly the treatment is only 1 1/2 - 2 years, with 1 year in. Hoping it will be 1/2 year more!!

  • what rubber bands are you talking about? I got that chain/rubber band thing like yours and my gap in my front teeth closed in about 3 months or so...how long are you expected to have your treatment? I usually cut that wire off with some siccors..but then again i use the smartclip brakets/braces which are supposed to work faster than the original ones such as yours w/ the color rubber bands

  • you look like the braces should be off soon, are you excited?

  • coming along very nice,

  • Nice braces!!
