@MsCelticwonder I'm a fan of michelle but this kind of thinking is kind of shallow. it'd be one thing of karen was a "failure", but in actuality not only was she a national level skater for many years in her own right, she also finished college and grad school, married and had kids. that's as full of a life as most people could hope for. I don't think everyone with a famous sibling has to suffer from some kind of inferiority complex

Beautiful performance. Had she not have taken a step in between the combination and twoo-footed the triple loop her technical marks could have went up a lot. Very good solid skate otherwise.

It's a shame Karen Kwan couldn't complete the most difficult triples in competition as she would have been unbeatable had she'd been able to. As it were she is still one of my favorite skaters of all time. Her instinctual, feminine grace, willowy body line and palpable poignancy on the ice make her more special that any world class skater(with the exception of Oksana Baiul) I've ever seen..including her sister.

I was there for this and it was such a wonderful moment for her! I love when they show Michelle cheering her on and then coming to sit by her. Karen was sooooo fluid and lovely!
