we sing this song in the 80s at new mission in cincinnati. the first time we singed it i got happy and forgot how to end it. i still love to sing it. i'm no eddie. eddie sound better that sam on this one. he is sooooo smooth. sam is still the mr. soul. however, this song belong to eddie, his voice touch the soul of men and women from all walks of life. this song is up there with BY AND BY.

What an awesome song! Every time I hear it, I am reminded of the power in simple words like "Lord, remember me." I find the song itself to be a "soul stirrer."
