  • A good experiment. However won't the receiver drift? If the signal generator is more stable than the receiver you may have better results with the BFO on the signal frequency (3.5, 7, 14 MHz etc). That way even if the receiver drifts 1kHz the signal will still be perfectly tuned in.

  • It sounded good John, not the best but gives that singel mode radio a little spice.

    That Philco has turned into a beautiful radio with all the hard and meticulous work you have put in to this radio.
