  • While that's true most guitars of this vintage that turned color did so as a result of nicotine and contact with natural oxidizers such as sweat. That and just being around ANY ultra violet rays from the sun for 50 years will fade a nitro finish. I find that the ones that are still Blue were either cleaned after used often or didn't have as much clear or any clear coat. The clear coat seemed to turn more than the color coat.
